By car
Short route – Summer variant:
On the A3 heading towards Passau, take exit 111/Hengersberg. After approximately 300 m, turn right towards Grafenau/Hengersberg/B533/Deggendorf/Freyung/Schönberg. After 27 km, take the B533/B85. After 5.2 km, turn left towards the B533. After 21 km, take the 3rd exit on the roundabout and follow the B12 towards CZ. After 17.1 km, you will cross the border. For 10 km, follow road number 4. Turn right towards road number 39 towards Lenora/Volary. In Volary, bear right towards Horní Planá (stay on 39). In Horní Planá, keep following the main street. After approximately 7 km, you will arrive in Cerná v Posumaví. There you must turn right towards Frymburk/Lipno nadv Vlt. (163). After approximately 18 km, you will find Landal Marina Lipno on the right hand side of the street (before the roundabout!).
Recommended route – Winter variant:
From Regensburg head towards Passau (A3), cross the border with Austria and follow the A8. After approximately 60 km, follow the A25 and take the exit for A25/Linz/Wien/Wels-Nord (centre). After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Wien/Linz (A1). After approximately 6.6 km, take the exit towards Praha/Freistadt/Linz (A7). After approximately 6.5 km, take exit 5 for Linz-Muldenstraße/Bindermichl and head towards Freistadt. Then follow the A7 for approximately 6 km. Take exit 12 for Linz-Urfahr and the B126, and head towards Rohrbach/B127/Bad Leonfelden/Linz-Urfahr. After 200 m, turn left onto the B126 and head towards Leonfeldener-Bundesstraße (follow the signs for Bad Leonfelden). After 28 km, turn right towards B126/Unterlaimbach. You will reach the border after approximately 5.1 km. For 6.7 km, follow road 161 towards Vyssí Brod. Turn left towards Lipno nad Vlt. (163). After approximately 9 km, go straight on towards Lipno nad Vlt. (over the dam). After approximately 2 km, keep going straight on until you reach the roundabout. On the roundabout, take the 2nd exit. After 50 m, turn left at Landal Marina Lipno.
- To drive in the Czech Republic, you must have a driving licence, the vehicle registration document and a green card. In the case of a hire car, you must also have a legal transportation document.
- Proof of identity: All EU residents must have a valid identity document to enter the country. This also applies to children aged fifteen years and older. Children younger than fifteen must have a valid children’s passport with a passport photograph, if they are not included on their parent’s passport.
- Proof of insurance: Before you leave, check the policy conditions of your health insurance.
Public Transport
Landal Marina Lipno is not within easy access by public transportation. You can also take an aeroplane to Linz (Airport) in Austria and from there it is about an hour and a quarter drive by car.
