By car

NB: If you travel to Switzerland or Austria by car, you must purchase a sticker for your car and have a safety vest in the car. In the winter, your car must have winter tyres and if necessary snow chains.

  • Travelling from Cologne and Frankfurt:
    From the A3, take the A5 via Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Freiburg until you reach exit 68 for Weil am Rhein. Follow the A98 towards Rheinfelden/Lörrach until the Hochrhein intersection on the A861 and cross the border into Switzerland. Continue following the A3 (take exit 53 for Zürich/Baden). Take the exit and head towards Winterthur/Chur/Schaffhausen/Luzern. On the A3, keep following the signs for San Bernardino/Chur/Luzern and leave the A3 at exit 47 for Murg/Unterterzen.
  • Travelling from Stuttgart:
    Follow the A8 until the lm/Elchingen intersection and then take exit 65 to get onto the A7 heading towards Lindau/Kempten/Memmingen. At the Memmingen intersection, take the A96 heading towards Lindau/Bregenz. This road will turn into the B18, which you must continue to follow. At the border with Austria, it turns into the A14. Follow this road until exit 27 for Altach and travel towards Switzerland/A13 (first exit on the roundabout). In Switzerland, follow the A13 towards Chur/Sargans. At exit 11, follow the A3 towards Zurich and take exit 49 for Flums. Follow the provincial road (3) towards Unterterzen, Walenstadt.
  • Travelling from Munich:
    At Munich, follow the A96 towards Stuttgart, Lindau and cross the border into Austria. At the Hörbranz-Lochau intersection, take the A14 towards Switzerland. In Switzerland, you will be on the A13 heading towards Chur, Sargans. At exit 11, follow the A3 towards Zurich and take exit 49 for Flums. Follow the provincial road (3) towards Unterterzen via Walenstadt.
     

By public transport

By train: The nearest station is in Unterterzen. Form there you can walk or take a taxi to Landal Walensee. There is a taxi stand next to the station.
