Nestled in the middle of South Bohemia, and located directly on the Lipnomeer Lake, lies Landal Marina Lipno, a hidden woodland paradise. Among the snow-capped trees in winter, and the wide, open, azure skies in summer, this well-equipped and diverse resort has plenty of exciting activities to enjoy and landscapes to explore. During the colder months, Landal Marina Lipno transforms into an idyllic winter wonderland, where skiing cross country or down the slopes, braving adrenalin-fuelled toboggan runs, and ice-skating on the naturally occuring rink become part of daily life. The glassy waters of Lake Lipnomeer create the perfect setting for watersports like sailing and surfing. While the nearby River Moldau is a hotspot for daring, whitewater rafting and canoeing downstream. And the primeval forests that line its grassy banks are perfect for dreamy afternoon strolls immersed in nature. Visit the welcoming villages of Lipno and Vltavou, and many other small towns in the area. Or take a trip to one of the historic castles that scatter the largely untouched and unexplored regions of South Bohemia. Back on site, leave the kids at the Children’s Club and Playhouse where they can safely enjoy some supervised arts and crafts, while you head off for an afternoon of total relaxation, indulging in a romantic meal for two or a revitalising trip to the sauna. The perfect place to wind down for a while.

It is the most beautiful relaxing place which is why we keep coming back!
Just returned from our week at Darwin Forest for February half term, which was fabulous. We stayed in a Chatsworth Elite 2 Bedroom lodge which was warm and toasty even though there were blizzard conditions outside for our first couple of days. From our welcome at Reception, to the staff at Evolution, and those running the activities we booked for our 8-year old (archery and waterwalkerz), everyone was friendly and helpful. There's plenty to do in the area, and we will definitely return. Thanks!!
We have never visited Darwin Forest Holiday Park before, but we had a fantastic holiday and were very impressed with how well the Park was organised and managed. The Lodge was exceptionally well equipped and furnished, as well as being spotlessly clean. The facilities on the site were excellent, especially the swimming pool and the the Foresters Restaurant. The surrounding countyside was ideal for walking, and we will definitely be coming back for another holiday.
Lovely stay, clean lodge, great location, would highly recommend
Love this place! Home from from with peace and relaxation. Lodges are well equipped, clean and inviting. Just hope it's popularity doesn't change anything.
This was one of the best holidays we've ever had and will definitely go again, we went to see the dark skies and hopefully the aurora borealis and were not disappointed. The lodge was great especially the hot tub which we loved , never having been in one before
We had such a fantastic time, my children lost their tiny minds with how wonderful the place was. Pool, park and squirrels what more could you ask for. The staff made the experience even better, from skilled archery instructor to extremely knowledgeable reception staff who helped us plan our weekend away even in the off season.
Lovely relaxing break. Hot tub was fab. Lovely lodge immaculate everything u need included
We had a fantastic 4days at Keilder. The lodge was lovely, very clean and warm. There was everything we needed and the staff were on hand when we requested information on the area. One of our party made use of the pool and sauna facilities. We ate in the bar/restaurant twice during our stay. The food was exceptionally good and reasonably priced. The area is outstanding with lovely walks straight from the lodge. No need to use your car if you want a complete break.. unfortunately it was cloudy day and night so we didn't see the dark skies but we will certainly be going back for another try. Thank you to the friendly staff who made sure we had a really good experience.
we ate out a couple times in the bar both times very good meals & good value for money leisure facilities were clean & well organised all staff very helpful
From snowy peaks to glorious, sun-kissed meadows, the South Bohemian landscape offers a rare beauty all year round. During the winter, grab your skates and head to the iced-over Lake Lipno, glide downhill on your skis or snowboard, or take to the hills on your toboggan. And, at the Bambini Park, your little ones can learn how to ski gentler slopes under expert tuition. As the seasons shift, summertime opens up new opportunities. Hit the waters by boat or surfboard, test your skills at beach volleyball, or get into the competitive spirit during a few rounds of miniature golf with the whole family.
There are plenty of places to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Landal Marina Lipno. Enjoy terrace dining under the sun at Marina Restaurant, where you can take your pick from our tasty Czech specialities and some evening cocktails, while gazing out towards the Lipno Lake. Or, after a day on the slopes, savour a steaming mug of hot chocolate or glass of glühwein. There’s also the option to enjoy a whole range of gourmet grocery packages that we’ll deliver right to your doorstep. It’s so easy.
The perfect end to active days, head to the nearby Sportarena Lipno Point, where you’ll find everything from steam baths and Finnish or Herbal saunas, to full body massage and beauty treatments. Take some time out to unwind and pamper yourself.
Dating back to the 13th century, Rozmberk Castle is one of South Bohemia’s oldest surviving medieval buildings. Elevated on a promontory overlooking the point where three sides of the River Vltava meet, this once fearsome fortress is now open to fascinated visitors. Explore its chambers, walk its corridors and climb its towers, for stunning views of the romantic scenery surrounding the castle.
Giving the impression of a gigantic woodland helter skelter, Lipno’s treetop walkway allows you to peer out above the canopy from five different levels. At the top, you’ll enjoy amazing panoramic views of the surrounding forest and lake. While the bottom has its own curved slide for youngsters.
One of the first places in the Czech Republic to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this medieval town is brimming with history and painted with beauty. From the 13th Century Gothic castle that dominates its horizon, to the winding river that snakes through the streets, this miniature Prague is magical any time of the year.
When the ice has melted away and the waters warm, boats begin to drift along the beautiful Lipno Lake. Carved into the valley and surrounded by lush green woodlands, this river is the perfect setting for a boat tour taking you past some of the most picturesque scenes in South Bohemia.
