We had a great week at Leaplish. Our cabin overlooked the water and was fairly private. It was well equipped and comfortable (one of the heaters ticked a lot at night so we switched it off). The cabins could do with a little tlc - damp in one of the bathrooms and some long term 8 legged residents. The kitchen was great.
There's a fairly comprehensive shop on site, a little expensive especially as the nearest supermarket is at Bellingham. We didn't use the pool but I did have a massage and that was fabulous.
The red squirrel hide was great to have, but they only seem to top the seeds and nuts up once a week, so we had 5 days of very little activity and 2 of loads of activity!
The bar was good to have, some of the staff were great but quite a few were clearly not enjoying their jobs. We ate at the bar once and it was ok.
The staff in the shop and reception were great. Friendly and helpful.
The hot tub was brilliant. We didn't use the bbq or the fire but it was good to have them. There is some very heavy outdoor furniture - I would take a couple of lightweight chairs next time so we could use the verandah without having to heave the provided furniture around.
We also turned the lounge furniture around as it was all pointing to the tv rather than the view outside!!
Lovely to have no wifi or mobile signal, but it would be good to have internet to the tv so we could watch Netflix.
We visited the observatory - highly recommend and will definitely be going again.
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday in a great location and will be going again.
