Dundee
A UNESCO City of Design, Dundee is home to a state-of-the-art design museum, V&A Dundee, which hosts exhibitions to honour the past and inspire future innovation. Nearby on the waterfront, you can step aboard RRS Discovery to learn about the Antarctic voyages of Captain Scott and his crew.
Golf courses
Angus is renowned for its golf. Around Dundee there are several fine courses, including Kingennie, Monifieth and Downfield, while the legendary Carnoustie is a short distance away. But if you’re staying at our Piperdam resort, you don’t even have to travel – there are top-notch 18- and 9-hole courses on site!
Glamis Castle
Straight from the pages of a fairy tale, Glamis Castle sits on a site steeped in more than 1000 years of Scottish history. The childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, it’s even said to have inspired Shakespeare’s classic play, Macbeth. Today, the castle and gardens make for a magical family day out.
