Landal renovates four holiday parks in Germany
In order to welcome guests with a fresh look for the coming summer season, Landal GreenParks is carrying out extensive renovations and modernisations at four holiday parks in Rhineland-Palatinate, with modern kitchens, more spacious terraces, stylish furniture and a new restaurant being created.
Landal Warsberg/Saarland – modernisation of 150 lodges
Between now and the summer, we are modernising no less than 150 lodges at Landal Warsberg, located on a high plateau above the Saar. They are also being upgraded, with most six-person lodges becoming spacious four-person accommodations. Larger terraces, a new kitchen with energy-saving appliances and comfortable, modern furniture will offer our guests a completely new living experience. And, for the first time, there will also be luxury two-person lodges at Landal Warsberg.
Work on the lodges should be finished by the end of June. Then, towards the end of the year, the renovation of the supermarket and reception will commence, and there will also be an indoor play area. Looking further ahead, the park has plans for 10 exclusive children’s bungalows with a separate playroom.
Sustainability is crucial throughout the renovation, and so we will be using environmentally-friendly materials as well as local artisans and contractors.
After the flood: new features at Landal Wirfttal
The 2021 Eifel floods necessitated renovation work to the lodges at Landal Wirfttal. Here, not only have the damaged residences been renovated, but other facilities have also been modernised, such as the entire restaurant, the shop and the front office, which are now housed in one building. The old reception area is now being used for storage and staff housing. All of the work must be completed by the end of April, before the start of the spring season, when the campsite will reopen with new safari tents to replace the Wood Lodges. The Bollo Atelier, the activity room for children, has also been completely modernised with a large interactive play arena and a cool lounge corner, a climbing wall and a football wall. The popular outdoor playground has also been redesigned, modernised and improved, with a new football pitch and a newly designed playground.
Everything chic on the Moselle: Landal Sonnenberg lodges
Landal Sonnenberg’s 213 lodges on the Moselle will be completely refreshed by the end of spring: all accommodations will have a modern look with comfortable furniture in attractive interiors – and many residences will also have their bathrooms renovated. The indoor swimming pool will have a new roof and new boilers that reduce energy consumption. Meanwhile, in the indoor games room, a newly installed infrared heater keeps players warm during sports and games.
Welcome to the new restaurant at Landal Hochwald
After extensive renovation and modernisation work, Landal Hochwald’s restaurant opened for Christmas 2022. Its proximity to nature and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is reflected in the décor of the restaurant. In the rooms, with a capacity of up to 90 people, the furniture, decoration, lighting and colour scheme have all been changed, while green plants emphasise the modern ‘nature look’.
During the renovation, a lot of attention was also paid to functionality, reducing distances between the kitchen and the restaurant and adding a counter with a large cooling installation that extends into the games room. The attentive service robots BellaBot and HolaBot bring plates and glasses, food and drinks to the tables and take used dishes back to the dishwasher. This gives staff more time to personally take care of the well-being of guests – and they no longer have to carry around fully loaded, heavy trays of dishes.
