Two new holiday resorts in Cornwall and the Lake District

Landal GreenParks is adding another two new holiday resorts to its portfolio in the United Kingdom. These are Landal Whalesborough Resort and Spa in Cornwall and Landal Twin Lakes in the Lake District, both popular holiday regions – also among Dutch guests. This brings the total number of Landal GreenParks holiday parks in the United Kingdom to 17. The resorts open this spring.

Landal Whalesborough Resort and Spa, Cornwall
Landal Whalesborough Resort and Spa is set in 450 acres of secluded Cornish countryside, just a few miles from the North Cornwall coastline.
It is a perfect destination for couples, families and friends who want to enjoy the best of both worlds with quiet, fresh air and quality time.

Landal Whalesborough Resort and Spa offers a range of character cottages, barn conversions to refurbished farmhouses, all with the backdrop of idyllic wilderness and a truly refreshing rural landscape. Sleeping up to 10, the pet-friendly cottages are full of history and charm with unique and contemporary interiors suited to each one. Hot tubs and accessible accommodation are also available.

Over the course of the next 12-18 months an additional 50-60 accommodations will be developed in addition to the existing farmhouses and cottages.

Other facilities at the site are a restaurant, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness centre, indoor playground, adventurous outdoor playground, tennis courts and fishing. There is plenty to do during a stay at Landal Whalesborough Resort and Spa, including a visit to the on-site farm – Little Farmers – where children can get up close to alpacas, goats, pigs and chickens. In the summer months, guests can also enjoy a trip on a tractor around the farm and to the beach.

Enjoy the surrounding natural beauty in the region, visit the coastal resort of Bude with a wide range of activities, sports and adventurous activities. Swimming in the Sea Pool is a ‘must do’. It is a semi-natural tidal swimming pool and a sanctuary for wild swimming on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.


Landal Twin Lakes, Lake District
Landal Twin Lakes is the perfect starting point for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, England’s largest national park, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The resort is situated between Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by undulating hills, green woods and ancient forests.

Guests can feel closer to nature and stay in one of the two-storey, lakeside lodges with panoramic glass frontage offering stunning views and cosy, modern interiors. Sleeping up six people, each lodge has a private outdoor hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, large patio area with garden furniture – perfect for relaxing and summer evening entertaining with views overlooking the lake. Pet-friendly lodges are also available. 

Other facilities on site are a sandy beach, a children’s playground and fishing activities. Guests can enjoy exploring both the Lake District National Park as well as the Yorkshire Dales, from walking to abseiling, zorbing to kayaking, cycling to ziplining, paddleboarding to boat trips. There is something for everyone in and around the area. If you are looking for more relaxation, you can visit the sandy beaches at Morecambe Bay, a stone’s throw from Landal Twin Lakes, or simply sit back and enjoy the starry dark sky from the comfort of the lodge.

Expansion plans
Besides the existing accommodation, the expansion plans for the coming years include a total of 60 new holiday home rentals. There will also be a completely wheelchair accessible lodge – everything on one floor, wider doors, wheelchair lifts, hoists and medical fridges. The lodges are made of wood from sustainable forests and contribute to the ‘Net Zero’ goals of the United Kingdom.
