The Weddermeer next door
The park is located right next to the Weddermeer, a paradise for lovers of water sports and relaxation on or near the water. In the summer you can go kneeboarding, tube sailing or take an exciting trip on the banana boat. This lake is also an attraction for carp anglers all year round.

All accommodation is located around the park's water feature. The covered terrace is the ideal place to enjoy the peace and surrounding nature together with a drink and a snack. For certain types, the outdoor area is also equipped with a Green Egg barbecue, extra (outdoor) kitchen and/or a sauna and outdoor shower. Winding streams in picturesque valleys, ancient forests and historic villages and towns are just a few things that make the Westerwolde region so special. Here you'll find countless marked routes and paths that take you straight through the valleys around the Ruiten Aa, past old monasteries and fortified towns. The Westerwoldepad is a great example; a long-distance path of 62 miles divided into five different stages, it traverses the most beautiful places in Westerwolde.

Welcome to Landal De Wedderplassen
In the east of the province of Groningen, close to the German border, you will find the small-scale holiday park Landal de Wedderplassen. Here in the nature-rich region of Westerwolde you can enjoy the peace and vastness of Groningen's green landscapes. Right next to the park is the Weddermeer, the place to be for water lovers. Fishing, swimming, water sports - it's all possible here! By bike or canoe (both available for rent at the park) you can explore the old roads, rivers and canals that this region has to offer. Meanwhile, a half-hour drive takes you to the Dollard coast, part of the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park, which is a unique coastal area on the border of Germany and the Netherlands. If you prefer something closer to your accommodation, visit the facilities of the adjacent Villapark Weddermeer, which you can use during your stay. With an indoor swimming pool, tennis court and a restaurant next to the park, there's plenty to do. In summer, the Fun & Entertainment team at Villapark Weddermeer ensures there are always fun activities for younger guests, at the park itself or in the surrounding area.
