A special milestone on the coast of Petten
The first pile has been driven for Landal Pettemer Duynen
Last Friday, 3 April 2026, marked a festive and significant moment on the coast of Petten. Together with the Municipality of Schagen, project developer Het Nieuwe Strand Petten and Bouwbedrijf Tuin B.V., the symbolic first pile was driven for Landal Pettemer Duynen — the official start of the realisation of this unique coastal park.
While the past period mainly focused on planning and preparation, the development is now becoming visible: the project is truly coming to life. With the first pile driven, a new phase has begun in which a distinctive holiday destination will take shape step by step.
At the same time, the new visitor square was opened, featuring a spacious car park and a playground. Children from the local primary school were the first to use the playground — a wonderful moment that highlights how this project will not only become a holiday destination, but also contribute to the liveability of and connection with the village.
Building a unique place by the sea together
Landal Pettemer Duynen is being developed in one of the last scarce locations along the Dutch coast where development is still possible. Its unique position close to the sea and dunes makes this park truly special.
With a high-quality and sustainable vision, a carefully considered park concept, and the trusted quality of Landal, this will become a place where tranquillity, nature and comfort come together. Future guests will be able to enjoy an authentic coastal experience, while investors will have the opportunity to invest in exclusive suites, lofts and villas with long-term value.
The combination of location, quality and forward-looking development makes this project not only attractive for leisure, but also a place of lasting value for the region and its visitors.
A festive closing at Zee & Zo
The afternoon concluded in style with drinks at beach pavilion Zee & Zo, where those involved looked back on this special day and ahead to what lies ahead.
With this symbolic start, a new chapter has begun. In the coming period, the park will become increasingly visible as a unique holiday destination on the Dutch coast gradually takes shape.
We look forward to continuing to share this development with you.
