The unique village of Giethoorn in Overijssel is often called the 'Venice of the North'. This village is full of waterways, making it perfect for water lovers! Giethoorn is part of Weerribben-Wieden National Park and features charming farms, long canals, and many bridges. Cars aren't allowed, so it's best to explore on foot, by bike, or by boat. From February to October, guests can use an electric boat (except for Tiny House 2 and Lepelaar hotel chalet 4). If you book one of our group accommodations, you can enjoy boating all year, weather permitting.
Giethoorn's center offers lovely shops, a variety of museums, and several places to eat. The area is also a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Besides boating and sailing, you can also enjoy surfing, canoeing, and water walking. Sounds like fun, right?
