Welcome to Roompot Glamping Lauwersmeer
At Roompot Glamping Lauwersmeer, you can enjoy a unique camping experience. You'll stay in a sturdy safari tent that comes with cozy beds, a kitchen, and a bathroom. When you arrive, the tent is already set up, so there's no need to worry about setting up tent poles. You can start your vacation right away. Relax on your tent's veranda or plan a day trip. You might enjoy seal watching, visiting Groningen, or having a drink on a terrace. The park is great for families with kids because it has low traffic. There are several small playgrounds between the tents, ensuring the children have fun with new friends. The old inn houses the Service Point and Take Away, and there's also a mini-market. So, fresh breakfast rolls are always available!
What is now the Lauwersmeer used to be the Lauwerszee. Man-made hills, known as 'wierden' in Groningen, protect the area from high water. The park is near Vierhuizen, a genuine 'wierdedorp,' or mound village. While exploring the area, you'll notice the diverse landscape of water, open fields, and woods. The nature around Lauwersmeer is so unique that it has been named a National Park. Near Lauwersoog, there are several beaches perfect for warm days. Would you rather go boating? There are places to rent boats nearby. Or take a day trip to Schiermonnikoog, a Wadden Island, easily reachable by ferry. When night falls, enjoy a new adventure. The night skies at Lauwersmeer are exceptionally dark, making it an ideal spot for stargazing from special observation towers. Maybe you'll even see a shooting star!
